Transcending Contempt Practice Groups

Bay Area-local scholar and theologian Rev. Christopher Martin created a seminar + practice group on living with love in divided times. I designed the brand and hand-painted watercolor illustrations to reflect hope, possibility, and Marin’s local character. The palette draws from Marin County, with book pages shaped like Marin hills and the iconic Mt. Tamalpais. The recent series’ artwork was inspired by the Bolinas Ridge, and uses the idea of angels to connect people to their own inner compass for a revelation of love.

Posters and postcards were placed throughout the county, supported by a marketing + PR campaign I led. The first 2024 election series brought in 30% new faces—many credited the campaign materials for drawing them in.
